Gumdrop is a small collection of games made by a family, run by Mallow LLC. Kids play here, so we keep things simple: we collect as little as we can and never use it for anything but running the games.
The short version
- You can play every game without an account. Guest progress stays on your device.
- Accounts are for grown-ups. We keep only an email address, plus scores and saved progress.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling data, no public usernames, no chat.
- You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Playing as a guest
You don't need an account to play. Your best scores, saved progress and settings (like light or dark mode and sound) are stored in your browser on your device. They're never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Accounts (for grown-ups)
A grown-up can sign in with an email address to keep progress across devices. We send a 6-digit code to that address; there are no passwords. When you're signed in, we store:
- Your email address, to send sign-in codes and know which account is yours.
- Your best score and saved progress for each game. Only you can see them. There are no public names or leaderboards with names on them.
If you played as a guest on a device before signing in, that device's progress moves into your account when you sign in.
We never use your email for newsletters or marketing, and we never sell or share it. It's only for signing in and for answering you if you write to us.
Kids
Kids are welcome to play, as guests or on a grown-up's account. Accounts are meant to be created by a parent or guardian, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has created an account, email hello@gumdrop.gg and we'll delete it.
Videos
Some games have how-to and gameplay videos hosted on YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing from YouTube loads until you press play on a video. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
What we don't do
No ads. No advertising or analytics trackers. No selling or renting data. No public profiles or usernames. No chat or messages between players.
Who helps us run the site
We use a few services to run Gumdrop, and they only process data to provide their service to us:
- Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, its servers briefly log basic request details, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- Supabase stores accounts, scores and saved progress, in the United States.
- An email provider delivers sign-in codes.
Deleting your data
Guest progress: clear this site's data in your browser settings.
An account: email hello@gumdrop.gg from the address you sign in with, and we'll delete the account along with all its scores and saved progress within 30 days. We'll reply when it's done.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. Questions? Email hello@gumdrop.gg.
